Welcome back, Jovi friends!
Life lessons in Bon Jovi songs continues with Too Much Too Soon
Sometimes called Never Enough.

This is the eighth “outtake”;
A song that was never included on the album.

Too Much Too Soon was written for Bon Jovi’s third album Slippery When Wet (1986).

Of Life lessons in Bon Jovi songs.

This song was written for Slippery When Wet, but did not make it onto that album.
It was also not included on the 5-disc box set “100.000.000 Bon Jovi Fans Can’t Be Wrong” either.
But it was included on the mid-90’s bootleg “We Are Not Unused”.

I think by next week, we’re actually breaking into the songs that are in even rougher shapes and even more obscure.
But Too Much Too Soon, is actually still a good and fully fleshed out song!

It is a pure rock n’ roll song (versus a rock song) which might be one of the reasons why didn’t pursue it further.

2. Too Much Too Soon (Never Enough) 07:31

The song is about someone who became famous too soon, and is unable to handle the success.
All this is contrast to people who deliberately worked for their success, like Jon Bon Jovi (who was 21 when Bon Jovi had his first big concert, late 1983) and Madonna, who turned 25 when the year her first album came out.
She has even specifically named her relative late rise to fame, as a huge advantage of being able to deal with it.

It’s not even about when you achieve fame, that you enables you to deal with it;
It’s about having created it yourself, and being in control of your own agenda.
